Mayfield comment insults men and women under arms

The Rev. Rich Mayfield writes in his May 10 column, “Our president must be increasingly frustrated over the inability of his minions to find the weapons of mass destruction.”

My dictionary defines minion as a term “now used only derogatorily, especially, a servile dependent or agent; a creature.”

I believe it is an insult to use such a derogatory term to describe the men and women of our armed forces. I believe it also is an insult to the memory of those who died in the service of their country and the veterans who honorably served.
