McDowell family thanks community for support

Special to the Daily

To everyone who has supported Ross McDowell and our family,

We have been so moved and thankful for the overwhelming love and support that our family has received from our incredible community. In September Ross was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 15 weeks old. After a number of procedures, they were able to successfully remove it, and he continues to be tumor free.

We knew that we lived in an exceptional place and community of people, but we were stunned at the outpouring of support on every level. We thank the Breck Brewery for hosting the benefit, all the people and businesses who donated items, and all of you who attended and contributed.

Also, thanks to Alpine Hair for its generous contribution. We are especially thankful for those friends who were behind the scenes making the benefit happen, taking care of Tucker, our home, pets, anything we needed and enabling us to be as strong as we have had to be.
