Medical students need host homes in Frisco

Daily News staff report

The Western Colorado Area Health Education Center is actively recruiting host homes to provide temporary, short-term accommodations (four to six weeks) to Colorado medical students attending rural clinical rotations in and around Frisco. Host homes should provide a safe, smoke free environment, a private bedroom with locking door, access to a bathroom (private or shared), and access to laundry and kitchen facilities. In addition to the satisfaction of helping a student connect with the community, host homes receive $10 per night to help defray expenses. Additional information about the host home program is available at

To become a host home to a future health care professional call Nicole Heil, student support services coordinator at Western Colorado AHEC, (970) 434-5474 ext. 3, or email
