Memorial Saturday for Dorothy Jackson

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Copper Mountain Chapel Saturday for Dorothy Honey Jackson, from 3:30-6 p.m. – including a reception immediately after the ceremony.

Dorothy started visiting Summit County in 1998 when she moved to Arvada from Salt Lake City. She loved coming to the mountains, and in 2008, she moved to Silverthorne to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Loren (Stinky) Steinbrink. Dorothy could often be seen with them at their various volunteer activities throughout the county.

She leaves behind her daughter, Karen, her son, Richard E. Jackson from Arvada, grandchildren Timothy and Steven Jackson, Corey Steinbrink, and Lori Burke, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Elroy Jackson and a grandson, Douglas Jackson.

After 97 years of relatively good health, Dorothy fell ill in February and went to be with her Lord April 3.

Contributions may be made to the Copper Mountain Community Church: Dorothy H. Jackson Memorial Fund.
