Mental health seminar Wednesday

The Summit County Community Wellness Series continues Wednesday with a discussion on “mental health first aid.” The session is slated for 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the classrooms at Summit Medical Center in Frisco.

Mental health problems – such as depression, anxiety, impulse control and misuse of alcohol and other drugs – are shockingly common in the United States. In fact, more than one in four American adults will have a mental health problem in a year. The session Wednesday is presented by Colorado West Regional Mental Health, a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1970 to provide outpatient mental health services to the residents of Western Colorado. Colorado West in Summit County is part of a comprehensive community mental health system offering mental health and substance abuse services to fulfill our mission of “Creating access to quality mental health and substance abuse services to enhance recovery and resilience in our communities.”

Call 970-668-9531 or email to reserve a space.
