Mental health volunteers needed

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Licensed mental health professional volunteers are needed to help with a support group at the Summit County Jail. The group will meet every other Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. starting Feb. 21. The first topic will be Anger Management and additional topics will be chosen by the inmates at each meeting.The first hour is for male inmates and the second is for females. However, if the women don’t request a support group, then the men’s group will meet for two hours.Volunteers will need to fill out a one-page volunteer form, permit a criminal background check and read through a short manual. Anyone interested should contact Storm Johnson, MSW, LCSW, at 406-0866.
