Minor deserves to be elected sheriff

Edie CarySummit Cove

Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their county. The position of county sheriff is a big one, folks, no doubt about it. I have known and worked with John Minor since he was a pup on the police beat and he is without a doubt the finest man for the job.He is unassuming but knowledgeable, gives his full attention to the safety of the populace, and cares for what you care about – not his own personal agenda. But what he is not is a truth-bender, toady or suck-up. As far as the education that some are saying he lacks, I disagree. I have known many people in my previous lives (editor of the Summit County Journal way back when, member of the Breckenridge Town Council and Regional Planning Commission, also way back when, program director at Colorado Mountain College, claim adjudicator for Colorado Department of Labor and Clerk of Courts for the Summit Combined Courts, to name a few) to know that formal education doesn’t necessarily mean you have common sense or know which way is up. I most heartily summon you to the fore. Elect John Minor as Summit County sheriff for the betterment of all the populace.
