Missing boater found in Colorado state park

LAKE GEORGE, Colo. (AP) – Officials say they’ve found the body of a Colorado Springs man who has been missing since a boat capsized at a state park last weekend.

Colorado State Parks officials say the body of 64-year-old Mitch Christiansen was found Friday under 18 feet of water at Eleven Mile State Park west of Colorado Springs.

The body of his wife, 62-year-old Susan Christiansen, was found Sunday near the capsized boat.

Officials say the couple were fishing at the reservoir and had not been wearing life jackets.

Mitch Christiansen was a former Colorado Springs mayoral candidate.
