Moguls team does deserve credit

Tom KellyVice President, Marketing CommunicationsU.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding

I want to thank Devon O’Neil for the sensational story Friday about the U.S. mogul team. As an organization, we do take our “Best in the World” quest very seriously. And we love the Bode story. But it’s also frustrating for us to have to work 10 times as hard to get coverage for the phenomenal results by our mogul team.Somewhat on that same vein, today Jeret “Speedy” Peterson won the World Cup aerial title. This is especially significant for us as that team was really down the last two years. But Speedy and Ryan St. Onge won five World Cups this year. And all of a sudden, our women’s team is starting to put as many as four women into finals. You will find many of us on our staff who are much prouder of those things, which don’t play as high as Bode in USA Today and other media. Thanks a lot for taking the time and initiative to bring this to the public’s attention!
