Moose cook Chenoweth dies at 28

John Michael Chenoweth, 28, of Breckenridge, formerly of Ft. Wayne, Ind., passed away Saturday, Aug. 3.

He was born in Indiana, graduated from high school In Raleigh, N.C., and resided in Breckenridge for the last four years. He was the head breakfast cook for the Blue Moose in Breckenridge, where he was a hard worker, good friend and will be missed sorely by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Sherian Lang; stepfather Art Lang; father, James Michael Chenoweth; stepmother Rena Chenoweth; brothers Mark and Matthew Chenoweth; Matthew’s wife, Courtney, and daughters Star and Alexis; grandparents; and stepgrandparents.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday at Father Dyer United Methodist Church, 310 Wellington Road, Breckenridge.

The Blue Moose will be closed all day Thursday.
