Mountain Community Fair fundraiser held today

The Mountain Community Fair is holding its annual fundraiser from 6-9:30 p.m. today at the Elks Lodge in Silverthorne. Proceeds will benefit the fair being held from July 21-23 and the Summit County 4-H scholarship program. This year’s theme is “Rocky Mountain Derby Night.” Admission price of $12.50 for adults and $8 for kids includes a barbecue dinner and a chance to win a horse to race. A ladies’ hat contest will also be held. Tickets can be purchased in the 4-H office in the County Commons near Frisco or at the door this evening. Those who cannot attend the fundraising event but still wish to donate can drop off checks payable to “Mountain Community Fair,” attention Kathie, at the 4-H office.
