Guitar and harp at three20south

Moreland & Arbuckle will play a free show at three20south tonight. Formed in 2001, guitarist Aaron Moreland and harpist-singer Dustin Arbuckle first began playing together in Wichita, Kan. After performing in various projects, the two decided to play as a duo and saw the beginning of their success after placing in the finals at the 2005 International Blues Competition in Memphis. Now several albums into their career, Moreland & Arbuckle, as well as their drummer Kendall Newby, are touring in support of their latest release, “7 Cities,” a blues/roots/rock album that tells the story of a Spanish explorer and his search for the seven cities of gold in the Kansas plains. Free music to kick off World Peace Day

Rogue Sound will play a free show at Alma’s Only Bar today. Rogue Sound in its purest form is a reggae-fusion power trio, with roots in hip-hop, rock and jazz. The group’s bilingual lyrics and easy-going vibe seamlessly cross cultures and genres while mixing musicianship with simplicity in a positive party atmosphere. The band is often joined by guest MCs, DJs, keyboards and brass, all of which provide infinite musical possibilities, from holding down a funk or reggae groove to exploring the fullest potential of an out-of-this-world atonal space jam. Branded Bandits in Breckenridge

Three20south in Breckenridge will host the Branded Bandits for a free show on Saturday. Branded Bandits formed in September 2011. After recording their first EP, “Gypsy Tea,” in 2012, the Bandits’ music has progressed into a full-fledged signature sound. They plan on heading into the studio in 2013 to lay down brand new tracks. The Bandits bring back that classic rock sound that is now lost, mixed with contemporary rock and blues, creating an undeniably heavy sound compared with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Sabbath and Mountain. Bluegrass Wednesday at The Barkley

John Truscelli and the Summit Bluegrass Allstars will play a free show for Bluegrass Wednesdays at The Barkley Ballroom in Frisco. Truscelli heads a Colorado Americana, rock and bluegrass band that has licensed many songs to film and television. Playing more than 250 gigs a year in the Colorado High Country, Truscelli and crew have become a staple in the ski country of Summit County and also play various festivals and functions all over the state. Talking Heads, Phish, Floyd

Pink Talking Fish, a fusion of Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish featuring members of Particle, will take the stage at three20south in Breckenridge on Thursday. Pink Talking Fish is the brainchild of Particle bassist Eric Gould. Writing creative set lists from the repertoires of three amazing bands into one spectacular show is the spirit behind this project. Gould partnered up with Particle’s Ben Combe, and together, they explore the areas where these songs can collaborate in a fresh way so that fans of these bands can come out and enjoy a fresh journey into music they hold dear.
