FRISCO – Summit School District plans to launch a new website today that offers translation services and improved access to information.

The district has worked since early 2009 with Schoolwires, of Pennsylvania, to create the site at http://summit.k12.co.us.

The website is to be quickly translated into a wide range of languages, including Spanish. Access to district and school calendars, latest news, lunch menus and more is to be improved.

The sites for Summit’s eight schools are to be consistently designed and more shortcuts are to be available.

“Students and families will be able to confidentially access the virtual classroom to find teacher contact information and much, much more,” according to a school district press release.
