New youth-oriented coffeehouse starts Friday

Gravity Grindz, a new youth-run coffeehouse debuts from 4-10 p.m. Friday at Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters, 285 Main St., in Frisco.

Local youths have been working with a variety of agencies and small businesses to create Gravity Grindz.

The intent is to teach youth job, business and entrepreneurial skills while simultaneously creating a unique, fun and safe hangout.

Gravity Grindz is youth-run, but is open to everyone.

The coffeehouse will feature food, coffee, a Foosball tournament, a DJ and prizes.

Sponsors include Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters, Colorado Workforce Center and Summit County Mountain Mentors.
