NRO hosts free concert in Denver June 23

The 85-member National Repertory Orchestra will join the Colorado Children’s Chorale for a free afternoon concert at the Denver University Newman Center for the Performing Arts on June 23 at 2 p.m.

NRO music director Carl Topilow will lead the orchestra through a collection of repertoire including William Schuman’s Variations on America, Copland’s Old American Songs featuring the Colorado Children’s Chorale, selections from Williams including the Chorus from “Amistad” and Laudamus Te from “Empire of the Sun” with the Children’s Chorale, and Tchaikowsky’s Finale from Suite Number 3.
