NRO teams up with the Breckenridge Music Festival Thursday


BRECKENRIDGE – Members of the National Repertory Orchestra will be conducted by music director, Carl Topilow in an evening of chamber music today at 7 p.m. at the Pavilion at Keystone. This concert will highlight many of the talented orchestra members through solos by violinists, Julia Holliday and Monty Bloom and harpist, Hillary Schefter.Selections for the evening include one of Haydn’s major works, Symphony No. 8 in G Major, the “Evening” symphony; Bartók’s Rhapsody No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra; Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro and Le Tombeau; and Wieniawski’s Polonaise Brillante No. 1 in D Major, Op. 4.On Sunday at 11 a.m., musicians from the National Repertory Orchestra return to Keystone to present more great chamber music in the plaza.
