NRO thanks Blue River Bistro

Julie Chandler
Director of Development
National Repertory Orchestra

The National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) would like to thank Blue River Bistro owner Jay Beckerman, chef Joe Seeds and the bistro staff for presenting an amazing Spanish Wine Benefit Pairing Dinner on Dec. 2. We also want to thank Frithjof from Torres Wine for sponsoring the event.

The bistro presented a fabulous four-course meal, paired with five Torres wines. The sold-out event was a magical one. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, friendship, food and the wine. As the night ended smiles graced the faces of all participating in this evening. We received a note from Lee Henry saying “Peg and I (as well as everyone we talked to) thought your recent event was outstanding!” Each person who supports the NRO and the arts is giving the world a priceless gift and deserve the joy and rewards that giving affords. The dinner attendees received just one of those rewards in the form of fabulous food and wine for their dining pleasure.

The money raised from Blue River Bistro Wine Pairing Dinner will greatly help fund the NRO’s coming year’s programs. The NRO provides the members of the orchestra with a tuition-free, intense, orchestral internship that combines performance of an extensive repertoire with coaching, master classes and career development instruction. We appreciate Jay Beckerman’s understanding that the nonprofit arts and culture industry is an economic driver in our community – a growth industry that supports jobs, generates tax revenue, and is the cornerstone of tourism.

Thank you again to the Blue River Bistro and Torres Wine!
