Obituary: Christopher Lee Andersen

September 3, 1984 – May 20, 2023

Chris was born and raised here in Summit County. He loved being out in nature and living the land!

Among a few things he loved to do was Snowboard, Ski, Snowmobile, Water Ski, Jet Ski, Fish, Hunt and Hike. Anything and everything that this beautiful land had to offer to him.

He passed away unexpectedly in Alaska on May 20th while visiting a close friend he had met in basic training in 2003. He was a decorated, honorably discharged veteran from the Army. Among many accomplishments while in the military he was awarded a Bronze Star and retired as an E7.

He is survived by his parents Scott and Schelly Andersen, his youngest brother Jesse (daughter: Collins). Chris’s beautiful daughter Alyssa. Niece: Sapphira (Micheal’s daughter). His beloved Grandma Peggy (GGP). Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and Countless Friends!

He is preceded in death by his younger brother Michael by less than 6 months.

There will be a brief Celebration of life for Chris by our dear friends@ the Mountain Lyon Cafe in Silverthorne on Saturday, July 15th from 4-6pm.
