Obituary: Conner McKinley Beckett

Words fall achingly short of capturing the depth of our sadness, the beauty in his heart. Conner brought a calico grin to his uniquely dry humor. He was brave, loyal, intelligent, resourceful, with curiosity higher than the Ten Mile Range. We are left to hope the next chapter has his soul flying through the air, arms outstretched, filled with peace and joy. Conner is survived by his loving brother Easton, parents Thom and Amy, grandparents Carole Beckett, Dodie and Jerry Zimmerman, aunt Daneille, uncle Willi and cousin Jillian along with family, both biological and extended. Among Conner’s greatest joys were the friendships he found early in life, farm-time in Michigan, pool antics, and the adventures he enjoyed with his family. We also want to express a special thank you to all those in our Summit County community who gave/give their love and support to our family. Finally, in his own words, via an Upper Blue Elementary art project: “Conner; It means funny, risk taker, creative. It is like the sky. It is being outside.”
