John Richard Culjat, 83, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on January 20, 2025. John was born on February 8, 1941, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959. John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon Culjat. He is survived by his children Kevin (Bonnie), Kelly and Korey (Janet) Culjat; four grandchildren: Elizabeth, J.D., Tucker and Cassidy. As the patriarch of the Culjat family, John spent over 40 years in the restaurant and bar business in Council Bluffs and Breckenridge, Colorado, where he and Sharon enjoyed making countless memories with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in John’s memory to the St. Albert football program
