Obituary: Larry E. Hoffman

Larry E. Hoffman

1948 – 2014

Larry E. Hoffman, gardener extraordinaire at the Woods Inn and star-gazing enthusiast, has left us to be closer to his stars.

Larry was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Weatherford, Texas, to Ralph and Nora Lee and grew up in Oklahoma.

He served in the United States Air Force and remained steadfast and proud about his service.

Larry was traveling through Summit County in 2002 when he got off the bus, found us at the Woods Inn, became part of our family and never left.

We will miss his infectious laugh and silly questions but most of all his love.

Larry leaves behind his precious son Scott and granddaughter Cecilia of Oviedo, Florida.

There will be a military graveside service at the Frisco Cemetery on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m.

All who knew Larry (and he never met a stranger) are welcome to attend.
