Lexi (Corey) Timson

March 6, 1984 – Dec. 29, 2013

Our beloved Lexi (Corey) Timson left us for the golden place of peace and love on Dec. 29, 2013. She was 29 years old.

She resided in Summit County. Born on March 6, 1984, at Rose Medical Center in Denver, she grew up in Blue River and graduated from Summit High School in 2002. She was well-traveled and comfortable on foot — always ready to travel light and meet new friends; she was an ambassador for the town of Frisco and traveled to Japan with the Frisco Sister City exchange program; to Costa Rica with Outward Bound; and to Cairo-Egypt, Saipan, Guam, Rota, and Palauu with her extended family, the Eberts. She had many adventures on the Caribbean coast of Mexico with friends and family; she spent 23 days rafting the Grand Canyon from Lee’s Ferry to Lake Mead with her mom and family friends; and she visited Canada, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. She was a member of Team Breckenridge from elementary school through high school, competing as a downhill racer and a freestyle skier.

Lexi was a professional artist and attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, studying industrial design, where she was on the dean’s list for several terms and her commissioned art work titled “Emma” won Best of Show in the 30th annual AIFL Student Exhibition. Her heart was devoted to fine art, and she sold commissioned fine-art pieces and graphic designs. Her recent art endeavors included several logos for local companies and the creation of Positive Energy Graphics Lab. She hoped to someday work full time in the art industry; in the meantime she was always available to work a variety of jobs for Team Temp, where she was loved for her sunny, unforgettable presence.

Lexi has loved ones waiting for her in the golden place; preceded by her fiance, Patricia Rose, who passed in a tragic car accident during Lexi’s last term of college; her grandfather, Don Timson; and her beloved dog, Scooby.

She will be someday reunited with those of us who remain; her grandmother, Betty Timson; mother, Karen Sue Timson; and sister, Shelbie Christine Ebert. Lexi’s extended family includes her aunt and uncle, Donna and Greg Gerlich, and cousins, Kaleigh and Grayson Gerlich, and her step-family, the gigantic Ebert family clan: Fred and Maralee Ebert, Bob and Cindy Ebert, Chris and Roque Santos-Ebert, Susan and Hank Ebert, Bill and Myrna Ebert, and cousins Logan, Connor, Jenna, Bonita, Matthew, Roberto, Carlos, Aurora, Anicia, Bret and Tessa.

There are also so many friends whom she loved like family — Lexi had the biggest giving heart, making friends all along her colorful lifepath. All of us are heartbroken and miss her so much!

In lieu of donations, please send Lexi loving energy and peaceful thoughts to accompany her on her journey.

A Memorial-Life-Celebration will be held in March in Blue River.

Lexi’s wallet remains missing. Any information about the whereabouts of her wallet would be greatly appreciated and can be relayed to the Bailey-Kent Funeral Home in Leadville, Colo.
