Patricia “Tish” Lane Fields
December 3, 1945 – September 18, 2023
Patricia Lane Fields, affectionately known as Tish, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday September 18, 2023. She was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of many with her talents, warmth, and compassion.
Tish was an artist at heart, with a remarkable talent for painting that allowed her to capture the beauty of the world around her. She had a green thumb that seemed to bring life to every plant she touched, and her garden was a testament to her love for the outdoors.
A loving grandmother (Nina), mother, wife, and sister, Tish poured her heart and soul into her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and was a guiding light in their lives. Her devotion to her husband, Russ, was unwavering, and their love was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Tish had a zest for life that led her to the Rockies, where she enjoyed skiing, the endless beauty of the mountains, and the lifestyle that goes along with it. She cherished her quilting family, where she shared her creativity and love.
Her journey began as a dedicated teacher and later evolved as she pursued a career as a Registered Nurse (RN). For over 30 years, she brought comfort and healing to countless patients in the operating rooms at GBMC and Union Memorial hospitals in Baltimore, Maryland, leaving an indelible mark on the healthcare community.
As a living memorial Tish is survived by her devoted husband C. Russell Fields; sons, Russ and Bingham Fields and Todd and Maggie Fields; grandchildren, Carson, Colby, Morgan, Jaxon, and Weston Fields; brother Tom and Marian Lane. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and kindness that will forever be remembered.
Tish’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends will remain a source of inspiration and comfort.
