Obituary: Patrick James Armour

February 25, 1973 – February 25, 2022

Patrick James Armour, age 49, was born to New Life on his birthday, after a brief illness. He died peacefully with family and his many friends at his side in Denver, Colorado.

Patrick graduated from Hempfield High School in Lancaster, Pa. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Anthropology and Archaeology. After one dig, he said that being baked in clay in 90-degree temperatures and moving five tons of dirt with a teaspoon is not something he wanted to do again. He moved to Colorado and has worked for Water Solutions Inc. for the last 22 years as a licensed Water Treatment Specialist for the surrounding ski areas and adjacent communities

As an outdoorsman, Patrick loved Colorado, skiing, fishing, rock climbing, camping and white-water rafting. He was known for his humor, intellect, and compassion for others. Patrick had the amazing ability of remembering names and faces; once he called you friend, he never forgot you. His friends tell stories of how he influenced their lives and his generosity to those in need. His last words to his father were, “thank you for letting me live my life the way I wanted to.”

Patrick is survived by his parents James and Judith Armour, and his siblings; Kevin (wife Kelly) Armour, Katie (Husband John Coleman) and Ryan (wife Jordan) and his eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Janet Armour and James and Ann Perrine.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Open Door Ministry, 2823 Cherry Street, Toledo, Ohio 43608. This is a ministry to the homeless founded by his mother in 1983, or to a charity of your choice.
