Robert M. Ware

Sept. 1, 1924 – Nov. 1, 2014

Robert M. Ware, 90, of Denver, Colorado, passed away Nov. 1, 2014, at Rose Medical Center in Denver with his family at his side. Bob was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Garrison, New York, to Edgar Thomas Ware, of Garrison, and Dora Brunschweiler, of Manchester, England. Bob was a member of the 10th Mountain Division and fought in WWII in the mountains of Italy. After the war, he sold life insurance, acquired a pilot’s license and taught skiing at Keystone Ski Resort in Colorado. He was a member of the Professional Ski Instructors Association for over 45 years. He is survived by son David C. Ware, of Vancouver, Washington, and daughter Jennifer R. Swint, of McLean, Virginia, and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bob’s name to the 10th Mountain Division Foundation. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a future date.
