In Loving Memory of Rob Carter

Robert Oneal Carter, 46, passed away peacefully at his home in Dillon on May 1, 2015, with loved ones at his side, from complications of cancer.

Rob was born on April 14, 1969, in Corpus Cristi, Texas, and grew up in Victoria, Texas. After graduating high school, he spent four years in the Navy. Since then, he has lived in Texas, Myrtle Beach, Slovakia, and has been in Summit County, Colorado, since 2002. Rob has worked as a property manager for Summit Resort Group and also created his own company, Carter’s Properly Management.

Rob will be missed by so many, for his friendly and energetic personality. He never hesitated to help out a friend or even a stranger. Rob enjoyed Summit County for its natural beauty and also for the wonderful people he met here. He loved the summertime, exploring the mountains and playing golf at Copper. But his greatest passion in life was his daughter, Ema, who was born in 2004. He traveled to her home in Slovakia very often to spend time with her. And Ema traveled to Colorado in the summers to spend time with him. He was “the best daddy in the world.”

Rob is survived by his beautiful daughter, Ema Kay Carter, his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Carter, his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Carter, his niece, Nikki Carter, and so many dear friends all over the world.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 8 at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Agape Outpost Chapel.
