Obituary: Shirley Bilisoly

Shirley Bilisoly

Shirley Bilisoly, age 85, of Stevens Point, passed away Tuesday morning Sept. 9, 2014, while at home at Oakridge Living Center, under the care of Heartland Hospice. Her ashes will be taken to Frisco, Colorado, to be buried with her husband, Richard.

Shirley was born March 24, 1929, in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Florence (Apple) Stettner. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1947. After graduation she worked at the Elgin Watch Factory as a typist. Shirley married Richard S. Bilisoly on March 17, 1951, in Elgin, Illinois. They settled in Elgin, and she was a homemaker, a volunteer docent at the Chicago Art Institute and mother to three children.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Jeanne (John) Herder, Stevens Point, Wisconsin; two sons, Keith Bilisoly, Frisco, Colorado, and Bob Bilisoly, Dillon, Colorado; and five grandchildren: Rachel Herder, San Francisco; Elizabeth (Brent) Tice, Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Laura Herder, South Bend, Indiana; Erik Bilisoly, Golden, Colorado; and Katy Bilisoly, Boulder, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard, who passed away in Arizona in 2009.
