Stace Tackaberry

February 22, 1942 — July 21, 2017

Stace Tackaberry, known to some as Cowboy Tack, Tack, Pops, Gramps and “the Legend” died July 21, 2017. Cancer finally outran him. He was born February 22, 1942 in Houston moved to California in 1943, was an alumnus of Beverly Hills High and Texas A & M.  He retired in 1989 from a career in the fine arts paper industry to take on a variety of interesting jobs in Breckenridge. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, June Walters, son, Patrick (Kristine) of Bandon, OR, daughters, Jackie of San Rafael, CA, Jennifer Fontenot of Port Orchard, WA, seven beloved grandchildren, countless family and friends all over the world. A remembrance bash will be held in Breckenridge sometime before the snow flies. In lieu of flowers, donations to Summit County Advocates for Victims of Assault will be gratefully accepted.
