Aug. 31, 1946 – March 25, 2015

Stephen Britton, 68, of Dillon, Colorado, went to meet his maker on March 25, 2015.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1946, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He graduated from Alameda High School in 1965. Steve served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1965-1969 of which he served two tours in Vietnam. He worked at Denver Coca-Cola and later owned his own beverage service company in Silverthorne, High Mountain Service. He lived in Summit County for 29 years. He served others through the Abundant Life Church; riding his motorcycle with Carry the Flame and Christian Motorcyclists Association; making flag pole holders for bikes; handing out pennies he punched with a cross. He is survived by Maxine, his loving wife of 43 years; his sons Daniel (Marcia) Britton and Timothy Britton; his grandchildren Ashlee, Andrew, Lizzy, Emily and Dillon; his mother Helen Loeb, sister Jan Donofrio, brother Jim Britton.

A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m., Friday April 10, 2015, Southern Gables Church, 4001 S Wadsworth Blvd, Littleton, CO 80123. The Honor Ride, beginning at 10:15 a.m. will proceed to Fort Logan service at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to Christian Motorcyclists Association or Carry the Flame, PO Box 1913, Dillon, CO 80435.
