With profound sadness and sincere love, we announce the passing of Theresa Mathis Campbell on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Born in Seattle, Washington, on August 25, 1949, Theresa was an enthusiastic skier and adventurer. In her youth, she traveled across the West, pursuing her passion for skiing. She lived in renowned locations such as Snowbird, Utah; Sun Valley, Idaho; and Aspen, Colorado. Her adventures also took her around the world, with a special fondness for Europe, a place she held dear in her heart.
It was in Aspen in 1981 that she met her beloved husband, Mike Campbell. The couple moved to Breckenridge, where they were married and later raised their son, Riley, in Frisco.
Theresa was a pillar of the Summit County community. serving as President of the Summit Rotary Club, volunteering with the Summit Foundation, and coordinating the Mountain Community Fair with Mike for several years. She also followed her son throughout his schooling, working at Dillon Valley Elementary, Summit Middle School, and finally as the Assistant Athletic Director at Summit High School.
Theresa will be remembered for her vibrancy and sincere lust for life, which was always on display with her famous smile. She drove fast, with the windows down and the radio up.
Theresa passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She leaves behind her brother, her devoted husband, Mike, and her loving son, Riley, who will think of her every day, forever.
