Robert A. Smart

April 25, 1943 — Oct. 9, 2015

Robert Smart has gone to be with The Lord on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015. He passed away from a tragic car accident that has left his family with such a great loss. He was born April 25, 1943 in New York, son of Marjorie and Theodore Smart. He graduated from Clarkson University and married his wife, Lillian in 1969. He and his wife just celebrated their 46 year anniversary a few days prior to his death.

He leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter, and 3 grandchildren — one grandson he never got to meet who was 4 months old.

Robert loved being with family and friends and always had a kind heart to help others. He had a special place in his heart for the mountains in Breckenridge. We will never understand why he was taken from us so suddenly and if there was a grand purpose behind it. If we can take anything from this is to remember that through the hustle and bustle our daily lives, we should always be safe and never take for granted how quickly our lives can be taken away. Never forget to live for the moment. Robert left us with some great memories, and his grandchildren had time to enjoy some of those great memories too.

Our hearts wish him peace, we will miss him dearly.
