Obituary: Andrew Clinton Jones

Andrew Clinton Jones passed away Feb. 12 in Dillon. Andrew was born March 2, 1984, in Bartlesville, Okla. He was 28 when he died.

He is survived by his parents Patricia and Richard Stroud of Colorado Springs, and his father George K. Jones of Clear Lake, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers, Jeremy Jones (Corissa) of Aurora and Ryan Jones (Tarah) of Ramona, Okla., and his sisters Jennifer Beauford (Zachary) of Weatherford, Texas, and Lara Artherton of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and a great niece and nephew.

Andrew has remained a member of First Baptist Church, Bartlesville, Okla., and attended Falls Creek Christian Camp during the summers growing up.

Andrew attended schools in Bartlesville, Okla.; Branson, Mo.; and Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs where he graduated before his class by taking his GED.

He was employed two summers during high school at Cave of the Winds as a tour guide; and at On The Border for eight years in Colorado Springs. He was recently employed by Target in Silverthorne as a team leader.

Andrew loved Colorado’s mountains and was living his dream in Dillon being able to snowboard every day of the season.

Andrew had an especially close relationship with his mom, brothers and sisters.

Andrew had a “people” personality and had a vast network of friends all over the country.

There will be a private family service at a later date and his ashes will be returned to his beloved mountains.
