Jody Anderson, 81 died July 22 at her home in Frisco. Jody was born in Warrensburg, Mo., to Elmer and Isa Alice Lueders on Jan. 17, 1930. She graduated from Nursing School in Saint Louis, Mo., and moved to Denver where she worked as a nurse at Fitz Simmons Hospital and met Charlie, a patient from the Korean War. Jody and Charlie were married in a double wedding ceremony with Jackie and Harry Skaro in April of 1953. Jody and Charlie moved to Frisco in 1961 when they bought the Frisco Lodge. Over the years Jody was involved with many activities in the county along with running the lodge. She was one of the founding members of the Summit Ski Club, started the annual cross country ski race, the Frisco Gold Rush, and was a certified timer for the USSA. She was very involved with the Summit High School Drama Program and taught the theatre tech class. She also worked as a nurse practitioner in the County Family Planning office. She is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Holland, husband Paul, Susan Wentworth, husband Bruce Knoepfel, and Laurie Groth, husband Donald; grandchildren, Justin, wife Tanya, Erica, Alex, Karen, Kristine, Cody; great grandchildren, Cecelia, and Axel; and many adopted children.

We would like to very sincerely thank everyone that cared for or watched over our mother in her later years. There will be a party to celebrate Jody’s life on Saturday Sept. 10, at her home. Any donations should be made to the Lake Dillon Theatre Company or Backstage Theatre in her honor.
