Judy Dercum, a grateful recipient of Summit County’s natural wonder for fifty years died after a long courageous battle with cancer. Judy was a force for life, a fearless ski racer and outdoor enthusiast. She loved hiking and biking adventures with friend and family in Colorado’s Rockies and all over Europe. She pursued her deep creative passions driven by nature’s beauty to create earth inspired ceramics and textiles, eventually becoming a nationally recognized textile artist. She was known for her luscious color rich sweater designs. Her designs were featured in many knitting books inspiring others to create. She is deeply missed by her husband Rolf Dercum, her three children, two grandchildren, brother and sister in law, niece and nephew as well as her incredible circle of long time friends.

The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
