Obituary: Russell ‘Rusty’ C. Fuller

Longtime Summit resident Russell “Rusty” C. Fuller passed away on Jan. 23 at the fruitful age of 54. He is survived by his two sons Sutter, 24, and Gage Fuller, 20; a niece Courtny Beckman, and many friends who loved and cared very much.

Born in Birmingham, Ala., on Aug. 27, 1958, he graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in forestry. Shortly after he began work for the U.S. Forest Service in Pike National Forest. Love for the mountains blew him Summit County’s way managing Beaver Run’s Tiffany’s Bar. Sometime after, he resumed construction work taking pride in putting in very long hours. His legacy will live on through his hard work and craftsmanship. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up in memoriam at Wells Fargo Bank under the Rusty Fuller Donation. A casual service has been scheduled for 4 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Beaver Run Resort.
