Deadbeat Weekend to benefit the Advocates for Victims of Assault.

Save the dates for the Deadbeat Weekend to benefit the Advocates for Victims of Assault’s Coroner’s Assistance Fund. Since Halloween falls on a Friday this year, there will be two nights of festivities.

On Friday, Oct. 31, come to the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge for a concert by DeSol, a favorite band with the locals. Admission is $15 per person.

There will be great music, a costume contest and cash bar.

Saturday, Nov. 1, is celebrated as Day of the Dead in some cultures.

The Fifth annual Coroner’s Ball will take place that evening at Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub (upstairs at Salt Creek) in Breckenridge. Hello Dave!, another favorite band, returns to entertain the crowd. Admission is $35 per person.

Included are a taco bar, silent auction, cash bar and coffin races.

The big winner at the coffin races will receive a three-night vacation in Las Vegas (airfare not included).

These events will raise money to help families in need with burial assistance and grief counseling. Come enjoy two nights of music and dancing for a unique but needed cause.

Call (970) 389-2809 if you would like to become a sponsor or to donate to the silent auction.
