On the Clock: Sandee Smith

At her store in Frisco, Sandee Smith loves helping brides pick attire for their weddings but she doesnt sell wedding dresses. She caters to the men in the party with a wide variety of tuxedos at Frisco Fun and Formal. Whether someones looking for a tux for the big day or for the upcoming high school prom, Smith is there to help with her golden retriever Gally at her side.Smiths Main Street store also sells gifts and collectibles, including silver jewelry and Colorado-made food and souvenirs.Constantly smiling behind the counter, Smith always makes time to chat with customers, even during busy times.What is your favorite thing about your job?The weddings. I love working with the brides and grooms. Its just such a happy occasion. They come here from all over the U.S. Ive met some really wonderful people.What do you find most challenging?Finding the right mix of items to sell and selling what people want.What do you do when youre not working?I ride my horse Pepper. I go skiing at Copper and go hiking with my dog Gally.

What brought you to Summit?We wanted to live where we vacation. The skiing here is way better than Maine.Whats something people might not know about you?I make stained glass. I learned how a long time ago, but I recently took classes again in Denver. I sell it in the store when I have time to make it.
