One-day soli science class on tap

Colorado State University Extension Summit County is offering a one-day class on Soil Management on Friday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the County Commons. Eighty percent of your landscape plant problems are related to soil conditions, soil compaction, drainage, and nutrient management.Dr. Curt Swift, Extension soil and turf specialist, will show you how to prevent soil related problems. Registration is necessary as space is limited. Cost is $35 to cover materials and handouts. Class is free to all Colorado Master Gardener Graduates and to all persons with seedling tree orders.
