Open Space snowshoe and cross country ski tour to Cobb & Ebert Placer Saturday

Continental Divide Land Trust welcomes the public to a winter tour of protected open space at Cobb & Ebert Placer on Saturday. Cobb & Ebert Placer is located about 5 miles east of Breck. The tour to Connect People to the Land starts at 10 a.m. and goes until noon. The level of difficulty is relatively easy to moderate. Bring your own equipment, water and appropriate clothing. Dogs on leash are welcome. The placer is part of the Golden Horseshoe and is jointly owned by Summit County and the Town of Breckenridge. CDLT holds a conservation easement on the property which boasts a significant wetland that was spared from destruction by the dredge boats, cutthroat trout habitat, French Creek, spruce forests and winter trails.
