Optimist golf tournament scheduled June 21
The Summit Lake Dillon Optimist Club Golf Tournament and Summer Solstice Barbecue is set for June 21 at the Breckenridge Golf Club.
This is the first year for this event, and it is an opportunity to play the Breckenridge course at a reduced rate and support the youth programs of the Summit Lake Dillon Optimist Club – soccer, basketball, chess, volleyball, essay contest and many more.
Tee times begin at noon. The cost for 18 holes with a cart and a gift bag is $90.
Sponsors and teams are now signing up. Register at all First Banks and with any Optimist Club member. Registration is available by cash, check or credit card.
The Summer Solstice Barbecue and silent auction is at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse. For information or to register call, Phil Heller at (970) 453-4400 or Kim Orr at (970) 390-7678.
The barbecue costs $20 for adults and $5 for children. Optimists are encouraging nongolfers to join the evening festivities.
