Our Lady of Peace in Silverthorne to host presentation about end of life arrangements
Next month Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Silverthorne will host a presentation about the importance of creating advanced directives before the end of one’s life.
The one-hour discussion, entitled “End of Life Issues,” will be presented by Lynn Grandon, director of the Respect Life office for the Archdiocese of Denver. Although delivered from a Catholic perspective, the presentation is open to people of all faiths, backgrounds and ages.
Topics Grandon will address include do not resuscitate orders, living wills, advanced directives, power of attorney and more. In addition to Grandon, Denver attorney Lenny Best also will be available to answer questions and to serve as a contact for people interested in creating or revising legal arrangements.
The presentation takes place from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Our Lady of Peace, 89 Smith Ranch Road, in Silverthorne. Light refreshments will be provided.
