Outage in Archuleta County affects 9,000

PAGOSA SPRINGS – A countywide power outage that affected about 9,000 customers in Archuleta County was traced to a fault in a remote transmission line.The cause of the fault Friday could not be immediately determined.More than 30 La Plata Electric Association employees worked to restore power.County offices closed at 1 p.m. Friday and employees went home, said county Administrator Bob Campbell.Erin Jeansonne closed her chiropractic office after lunch and canceled afternoon appointments.”It’s not great for business,” she said.
