Outage ousts football fans

BRECKENRIDGE – Football fans were not happy Sunday afternoon when the TV cable system went down throughout Breckenridge in the middle of the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings NFC playoff game.The outage continued through the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots AFC playoff game.Comcast officials could not be reached for comment and football fans descended on bars that featured satellite television.The outage began with a power blackout at about 12:30 p.m. After the electric returned, the cable remained out.The cause of the outage could not be determined. Colorado State Patrol officers said there had been no major car accidents Sunday. Car accidents are often to blame for power and cable outages.
