Parenting trainer to speak in Dillon

Nancy Thomas, an internationally known parent trainer and author of “When Love is Not Enough,” will be speaking at Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church in Dillon, on Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thomas is well known for her ability to help parents create a home environment in which behaviorally problematic children and adolescents can thrive. She has successfully trained thousands of parents in her powerful parenting methods, designed to help parents teach their children to be respectful and responsible. Her work is endorsed by both Jim Fay, of the Love and Logic Institute, as well as Dr. Foster Cline.

MAPS Colorado, a Summit County adoption and foster care agency, is sponsoring the event. The fee is $25 for individuals and $35 for couples. The class will meet both foster and adoptive training requirements for the state of Colorado. To register call (970) 262-2998.
