Parents from Golden want Keystone freestyle center

I am a parent of two members of the Team Summit Freestyle Team. I am writing to lend my support to the proposed rezoning of the Keystone Tennis Center to create the new Landon Sawyer freestyle training facility.

As you know, the tennis center site is shut down because of lack of use. The proposal presents an excellent opportunity for Summit County to have a world class training facility that would benefit local athletes as well as attract athletes from outside Summit County to train year-round.

As residents of Golden, we have other choices for training in Eagle and Grand counties among others. We chose the excellent program at Team Summit, and we come here every weekend to rent rooms, buy meals, passes, clothing, gas, etc.

This facility will give us another reason to visit Summit County. For the residents of Summit County, this facility would provide a safe, supervised location for youth to train and develop their skills in a positive environment.

I hope that this proposal receives approval from the Snake River Planning Commission.
