Park rangers investigate alleged attack on woman

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK – Authorities at Rocky Mountain National Park are investigating an alleged attack.

A 20-year-old woman reported the attack Saturday. She said she had been running and was attacked by a man while taking a break near the Glacier Creek Trail. She was able to fight him off and ran down the trail to call for help.

It happened about a half mile from the Glacier Basin Campground.

Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said rangers have increased patrols in the area.
