Peggy Conrardy: Great care from Summit medical personnel

Peggy Conrardy
Orchid Fla.

On August 25, I had to call 911 as I was having severe shortness of breath, difficulty walking and dizziness. I had been in Breckenridge for two days with mild symptoms and I thought that I would adjust, but I only got worse. The first responders were the local firemen who were very professional and caring. They did their assessment and put me on oxygen and monitored my vital signs. Thank you gentleman, I was never so happy to see someone as I was in seeing you that day.

The next were the EMT personnel of the Summit County Ambulance Service who transported me to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center. They also were very professional and caring. The gentleman who rode with me in the back of the ambulance started the IV and continued to monitor my vital signs. I felt that I was in very good hands.

The ER staff at the hospital were excellent, very professional and caring. As a retired critical care registered nurse, I know that I could not have received better care anywhere else. They discharged me with oxygen and had me select an oxygen vendor who would bring more oxygen to where I was staying. I wish I could thank these wonderful professionals by name, but I cannot as I don’t know their names. Breckenridge and the surrounding area are beautiful, but I will not be able to return due to the elevation. Once again, thank you to all who cared for me Aug. 25.
