People who leave trash despoil area’s natural beauty

Whoever left trash this year at the Miner’s Creek trailhead near Frisco should be proud of themselves. They really did a phenomenal job this year.

One hour and four large garbage bags later, it’s now clean again.

What is wrong with people who litter? Do they not take pride in their surroundings? Do they not respect the environment? Do they respect themselves? Maybe they are lazy and just don’t care.

How hard is it to put the bottle back in the car? Is it fun to throw that can on the ground? Have litterers not heard of recycling? At the very least, people should put recyclables in their own trash.

Summit County epitomizes clear skies, green forests and clean rivers. Try to keep it that way. It is embarrassing and appalling what some people do.
