Pete Wandke dies after six-month battle with cancer

Roland D. “Pete” Wandke died Nov. 2 after a six-month battle with esophageal cancer.A longtime Alameda, Calif., resident, he relocated to Breckenridge upon his retirement and enjoyed a year of travel and the outdoors before falling ill.He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children Connie Krajcirik, Joe Walter and Kelly Roehrig; and grandchildren, Teresa, Joey, Billy and Jordan Walter and Trevor and Ana-Zoe Roehrig.Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements were entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Funeral Home in Breckenridge.
