Edward – White and brown tiger mix. This special boy loves to rub up against your face and to give kitty kisses. He’s affectionate to those who are gentle and loving toward him.Lunar – I’m a 2-year-old with lovely white fur with a little bit of black. I’m a gentle soul and love to be petted. I’m very attentive. Anyone would be lucky to share their life with me.Buttercup – White with orange tabby patches. This friendly cat just can’t get enough love. She is very social and has a loving personality.Kat – I’m a 9-year-old, very loving boy looking for a family to share my retirement with. I’m mellow, good-natured and tolerant of dogs. I’m great at catching mice!Molly – I’m a sleek and beautiful black cat who loves to give and get attention. I’m 6 years old and would love a home with no other animals.Princess – 2-year-old gray tiger/ dilute calico mix. This funny feline is very active, social and affectionate. She loves to play and has lived with other cats before.Mango – Handsome 3-year-old male orange tabby. He is a big lover who can never get enough pets and snuggles. Mango would do well in a home with other cats. Felicia – 1-year-old brown tabby. Petite, pretty and looking for a new friend to cuddle with. Maupa and Wabsko – 5- and 7-year-old female Torties. These gorgeous cats are very well behaved, mellow and would love to go home together.DogsTidbit – Tidbit is an adorable little chihuahua/miniature poodle mix. He’s an active and happy little boy who does fine with other dogs. He is housebroken and would do well in a smaller house or an apartment because of his size.Lucky – Beautiful and strong 3-year-old female black lab. Lucky is an active girl that loves to play with toys, other dogs and does well with children of all ages. She is a very strong girl and can jump a six-foot fence with ease. She is housebroken and would make a great family dog.Ella – 5-year-old hound. Sweet, gentle dog who is good with kids, cats and other dogs. Loving but a little independent and must be kept on a leash. She is an escape artist if left alone on a tether or in a fenced area.Calvin -3-year-old male husky. Very strong boy both mentally and physically. He is very loving, social and loves to go for long hikes. He will do best with an experienced husky owner who can teach him to have better manners. Does well with cats and some other dogs.Hobbes – 3-year-old female husky. Affectionate, sweet and playful. Hobbes loves people and can get along with other dogs. She is housetrained and will flourish with an attentive owner who can teach her some obedience commands.Blue – 5-year-old male Siberian husky. This big, furry guy is looking for a family who really enjoys the independent and social nature of huskies. Great cold weather dog, but strongly desires to sleep inside and be part of the family. Gorgeous dog.PuppiesHarley – 9-month-old Shepherd mix. Super playful, obedient, loyal and smart. He was mistreated so can be untrusting of new people and situations. This will be a great dog with a loving, gentle owner who will spend time socializing him.To visit any of these animals, visit the Summit County Animal Shelter off County Road 1004 just south of Frisco, or call (970) 668-3230. The shelter’s hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
